The Senior Citizen is a valuable sector of the city. The local government of Marikina has different programs to address the needs of the elderly, to encourage them to continue to live healthy and productive lives so they can share their wealth of experience in the task of city-building. Aside from the Lifestyle Center & Rehabilitation Facility, establishments such as drugstores and the City Hall itself offer discounts and special privileges to Senior Citizens. One must be 60 years old and a bonafide resident of Marikina in order to enjoy the OSCA services.
HOW TO AVAIL OF SENIOR CITIZENS’ I.D. CARD
Released application after one (1) week
- Submit latest 1" X 1" I.D. picture
- Submit photocopy of the following :
- Barangay clearance or Proof of Billing of the applicant
- Either of the following (except cedula): marriage certificate, birth certificate, SSS I.D., baptismal certificate, voter’s I.D., passport, driver’s license
PROCEDURE
- Submit all requirements to OSCA
- I.D. card released after one (1) week
SENIOR CITIZENS’ HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CENTER
Open daily from Monday-Friday, 8::00A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Inaugurated on June 9, 2003, pursuant to Resolution 46 Series of 2003, the project was established by the city with support from the World Health Organization (WHO). All Senior Citizens’ cardholders are entitled to free availment of the services offered by the Center, such as physical therapy, dental and medical check-up, and elderly counseling.
