Nestlé Philippines and the city government of Marikina, through the City Health Office, held “Bongga Ka, ’Nay” on June 6 at the Marikina Sports Park. With the theme, “Hatid Sigla’t Sustansya sa Umaga,” the event aimed to promote healthy breakfast. It was hosted by TV personality and healthy breakfast advocate Ruby Rodriguez.

“Our city is at the forefront of advancing breakfast as the most important meal of the day. Together with Nestlé, we hope to increase public awareness of the value of a healthy breakfast. We particularly want to reach out to and encourage mothers and homemakers to prepare a healthy breakfast for their children everyday,” Mayor Marides Fernando said.

“Bongga Ka, ’Nay” featured the following activities: a “Pledge of Commitment to a Healthy Breakfast” ceremony; a Q&A forum on proper nutrition; and free services (upper body massage, hair trim, and make-up) to mother-attendees.
